About the Easter Egg
Edit: I've decided to remove this easter egg from the game, but I am going to leave this post here because it contains useful information. Please take care of yourselves, and get help if needed.

Seems like a few people found an easter egg I hid within the game. Out of all the secrets I've put in my games, this is the one I've put the most negative energy into. At first glance, some people might take this imagery the wrong way, so I wanted to explain why I included it in the game and what you can do to help people who might be affected by it.
For people who managed to walk right past it, there is a secret room with a display that depicts someone hanging themselves along with a note explaining why they did so. It's definitely discomforting to look at, and it's the first time I've made a drawing of someone committing suicide. Under certain circumstances, some people might believe that this display was created with the intention of me telling the player that they should kill themselves. They also might believe that this was added so that I could tell a specific individual to kill themselves. I know it's pretty easy to jump to that conclusion given the recent turmoil surrounding me as a creator, but I can assure you I'm not that much of a terrible person.
The reason I added this in is that this is something that terrifies me. It's a horror game, so it makes sense that I would add something that scares me as an individual. Over the past year and a half, our world has suffered from a serious mental health decline due to the pandemic and general lack of interpersonal communication. It pains me to see more people contemplating or threatening suicide over trivial things like video games and fictional worlds because that would be an awful way to go out. I don't want anyone to commit suicide. I don't want anyone to threaten to commit suicide to instill fear in others and get what they want. I, myself, do not wish to end my life either. I know that if I say that I don't want anyone to kill themselves but then adding something like this to a video game might seem contradictory, but I can't think of a better way to get a message across than to express oneself artistically. Art is subjective, and you can interpret the scene in any way that you wish, but in reality, at worst this is just an eerie creation from the dark and twisted parts of my imagination. This is why I made it an easter egg so that the player has to actually dig for it instead of it being shoved in their face.
My mission as a creator is to express my thoughts, emotions, and ideas through what I create. I do not wish any ill will towards others. I do not add things to my games to express hate or loathing towards other people. Suicide is not a joke, so please do not treat it like one. If you or someone that you know has contemplated or threatened suicide, please seek professional help immediately. People can help you.
